FRIDAY FAVORITES: THE SHINE PROJECT

FRIDAY FAVORITES: THE SHINE PROJECT

_

We are switching up Friday Faves a bit and using it instead to promote some of our favorite products that donate/raise money to a particular cause. We love doing good, so its a winning combo when we can buy a product we love AND have our money make a difference. We hope you consider some of the products we share under our weekly Friday Faves.

To say that college tuition is expensive is an understatement. College tuition in the US has skyrocketed and on average a college student graduates with over $39,000 of debt. A college tuition is unaffordable to the average American family, yet education is so important. A bachelor’s degree opens doors to new opportunities and higher wages. For first generation students that tuition might be even more frightening. The Shine Project is an organization, started by Ashley LeMieux, that gives scholarships to first generation college students. She started the organization as a college student herself and has now been able to give out over 80 scholarships. The Shine Project has a shop filled with jewelry and goodies for purchase. These items are made by students and the money from purchases goes towards funding scholarships.

Today we are featuring the “living my best life” tee. Not only is it one of our favorite sayings but its something that we strive for everyday. We believe living our best life doesn’t necessarily mean having it all, but instead being happy and doing whats good for our soul. By purchasing this tee you can help bring one student closer to their goal of attending college and changing the trajectory of their life. If you aren’t feeling this t-shirt there are plenty of other amazing items to purchase, head over to website to grab yourself some goodies!
